Now officially one of the longest running live action comedies in history, It’s Always Sunny is sure to go down in TV history, and rightfully so. It is a show that remarkably shows no signs of deteriorating after all these years, and is arguably just getting stronger.
The chemistry and ease at which the 5 leads work together is something that very few shows have ever been able to capture quite as well, and all 5 have moments to shine in this season, with Day and Howerton particularly taking centre stage.
The episode featured some experimental episodes, including a film noir homage, a ‘thundergun’ episode and a laser tag finale. The season featured some strong comments on the film industry which I appreciated, but it also maintained its level of offensive yet truly hilarious humour.
The creators have said they will keep making this show as long as people watch, which gives me great hope that we will have many more years of following the gang on their antics through Philly.
