At the start of the last decade, Emilia Clarke was a young unknown actress trying to find her way in the industry. However, at the start of the new decade, she has just wrapped her iconic lead role in TVs biggest ever show, and is one of the best known stars on the planet.
Not only that, but she has built up a huge fan base due to not only her acting ability, but her immense likability in real life, which many gravitate towards. She also recently revealed her huge struggles with brain injury when she was younger that nearly cost her life, and has since set up a great charity to help others.
I’m a huge fan of Clarke and hope she has a great career after GOT. Here I will break down her past roles, any confirmed projects coming up, and then what I would like to see her do.

The Future
If her role in The Seagull is a success, I could see her gravitating to the stage a lot. On stage you are able to test yourself as an actor more than most on camera roles, and she has already earned enough money that she can afford to take this career de-tour.
Her attempts to star in action blockbusters have not been successful and hopefully she steers clear of any similar projects for a while. However, she has triumphed in rom-coms where she is able to be her quirky self. Both Me Before You and Last Christmas proved to be worldwide box office hits and she was the best thing in both of those films, and I’d love her to take on similar films in the future.
I also hope she stars in some drama and thriller movies but from more talented directors and writers, because her indie films so far have been really poor, despite her good performances.
I see a huge potential for her on TV, and she could easily become the star of some high quality limited series, potentially from Netflix, Showtime, BBC, or even return to HBO (I have heard something may already be in the works here).
The future is bright as Emilia Clarke steps into a new era, and I look forward to seeing what she does next.
